Really enjoyed the location exactly close to the city center. A cool bonus was Pasticceria Tripaldi, located nearby, it offered tea and coffee.

in general i would not recomend this hotel ---- they did not wake me up at the time i asked, thats a bad thing if it had been something more serius. there is a reason why people ask to be woken up, and it is to have a back up to make sure you wake up on time. they forgot i had booked an extra night and almost kicked me out of the hostel.

The breakfast was excellent.
Well we were given a fitness room which we would never use and I requested a playstation room. I dont mind that we didnt get this because we dont generally stay in the room much but what we didnt like was as went went into the room the was a huge smell of sweat! I tracked down a cleaner and after some discussion she sprayed the room. However when the spray had died down the sweat smell was back and I believe it was from the tatty old treadmill.

I chose this hotel because I was intrigued by the theme "Chocolate". The Staff were quite helpful in giving us directions to get to the railway station and the historic centre. They also arranged a visit for us to the Nestle (Perugina) factory (a must see - cost 5 Euro pp) The room was comfortable and clean with a nice view of the countryside. WiFi is available free and works quite well even from the room (4th Floor). The bus to the historic centre and back stops right opposite and in front of the hotel. A taxi to the Historic centre or to the Railway Stations costs about 8 Euro (August 2011)
In the first evening I asked for a hot Chocolate and was told this had finished (at the Choco Hotel???). The second evening I again asked for a hot Chocolate and I was told that if they made one for me they would have to make one for another 30 youngsters who were lounging in the hotel lobby and they they only had one person manning the desk who was also manning the bar. The official asked me to come back at 10.15pm when these would have left. This I did and he made me an excellent hot chocolate and offered me this on the house. To really fully appreciate this hotel you need to have the use of a car or make use of the taxi service. The buses only work till about 10.00pm so care has to be taken not to miss the last one.

Unfortunately we stayed on a Sunday so nowhere nearby to eat or relax and I did not find the public areas of the hotel very relaxing at all.
Again found most of the staff rather cold and unfriendly, efficient enough but without exhibiting any interest in us and what we needed.
